Giveaways!

It's been awhile since I posted to my Blog. I've been busy and it's been a nice summer for me. Now that Fall is in the air, I decided to reflect on how my books are doing in the marketplace. I can't complain. According to Amazon my books rank is the top 35% for Sci-Fi Authors. It's been a long journey as a writer. My first book was self-published in 2003. Since then I have released nine full-length novels, two short stories and one three book bundle series. My next novel will put me over the one million word mark!
As an Indie Author I have to promote and market my books on my own. One way to do this is to giveaway free books. I use BookFunnel mostly. Looking at the numbers, I have given away almost 8700 free books since January 2017. Hopefully, those who downloaded my free books have enjoyed the stories and have since purchased more of my books. A few, very few, have actually posted a review to let me know how I am doing. It is gratifying to read the better reviews and know I have accomplished my purpose, which is to entertain and thrill my readers.
I write near future Sci-Fi using real science as part of the storyline and try to create characters with emotional qualities and motives readers can relate to. If I did my job right, you not only read one of my free giveaways, but actually bought the second or third book in the series and plan to post a review as soon as you are done reading the story.
